Auxiliary Views An Auxiliary view is any view that lies in a projection plane other than the horizontal, frontal or profile (side)plane.It is necessary to obtain one or more auxiliary views of an object when that object is complex and has a variety of planes and lines that are not parallel to one of the three principal planes.
