Fundamental view of the ecological economics Take the example of a ship.To load a ship efficiently is to make sure that the weight on both sides of the keel is the same,and the load is distributed from front to back so that the ship floats evenly in the water. While it is extremely important to load the cargo efficiently,it is even more important to make sure that not too much cargo is placed on the ship.It is of little comfort if an overloaded ship founders efficiently!
