Chapter 22 Suspension 窗日海大学 The Functions and Types of Shock Absorber >The role of the automobile shock absorber Through the movement of the shock absorber itself ,it attenuates the vibration of the spring .The consumption of the energy stored by the deformation of the spring is turned into heat energy,and is released into the air. >It's divided into one-way shock absorbers and two-way shock absorbers >The form of the structure is divided into monocular shock absorber(单筒减振器),and binoculars damper (双筒). >Press the damping adjustable divided into damping adjustable and damping not adjustable >Divided into working medium oil shock absorber 液减振器)and gas shock absorbers(气体减振器) >Divided into whether inflatable or not:pneumatic shock absorbers (充气减振器)and no gas-filled shock absorbers(不充气减振器)

Chapter 22 Suspension 同©大学 TONGII UNIVERSTTY The working principle of oil shock absorber >The working principle of oil shock absorber is:When the frame does reciprocating motion relative to the axle.The piston in the shock absorber also does reciprocating motion in the cylinder tube.The oil in the shock absorber's shell repeatedly flows from one lumen into another lumen through some narrow holes.The friction between the wall of holes and oil and the friction within oil molecule form the vibration damping force.And letting the vibration energy translate into thermal energy.Then the thermal energy is absorbed by the oil and shock absorber shell and emits to the air. >The damping force of shock absorber increases when the vehicle's vibration velocity increases,and decreases when the vehicle's vibration velocity decreases.The damping characteristics of shock absorber characterizes the changing relationship. >The oil of shock absorber:The shock absorber uses special shock absorber oil SVI or SV2.The oil has the characteristics of anti-gasification, antioxidation,no corrosion,the viscosity changing little with temperature and so on

Chapter 22 Suspension 同©大学 TONGII UNIVERSTTY The demand of shock absorber's damping force >The bigger the damping force of shock absorber is,the quicker the vibration is eliminated.But this will make the parallel elastic component can't fully play its role.And a too big damping force may result in damage of component and frame which link with shock absorber. when the shock absorber is compressed with the suspension.The damping force of shock absorber should be small to let elastic component fully absorbing vibration energy and alleviating impact; >When the shock absorber is drawn with the suspension.The damping force of shock absorber should be big to let the vibration of spring attenuating quickly and reducing the tired of the driver. >When the velocity of movement between frame and axle is too big.The shock absorber should have unload channel to maintain its damping force at a certain limits so as not to endure overlarge impact. >Double action telescopic shock absorber is widely used on the vehicle at present
