Chapter 14 Clutch Depending on the friction torque between the driving disc and the driven disc to transfer torque; Usually, the pressure spring clamps the driving disc and the driven disc together;Only when in need of disengagement, through the operation mechanism to push/pull the pressure spring(depending on design),meanwhile driving the driven plate to leave from the active plate; When the clutch recovers from disengaged state into engaged state, should properly control the release speed of the clutch pedal in order to avoid impact and make the drivetrain working stably. when the transferred moment is larger than the maximum static friction between the driving plate and the driven plate, the clutch will trackslip in order to avoid overload and protect the system.
