Ireland's modernization process abolished the law of "primogeniture"which favored the first born male in inherit the family legacy. ·The development also abandoned the state's“marriage bar?” which excluded women from work once they get married. There was also an enlargement of the middle class during the economic boom from 1990s to 2005
